Doctor Who
Doctor when, Doctor how, Doctor where/ Will you ever find someone to share
More than the adventure, more than just space
To ease the pain being the last of your race
Our sky is not orange, the grass only green
But in eyes simply human real love can be seen
Will you ever feel so safe as to try? Doctor how, Doctor what, Doctor why?
Doctor which, Doctor why, Doctor who/ If you lost Rose, just what would you do?
Would you seek another garden,
Would you pluck another bloom
Would you ask her Mom’s pardon,
Would you dance again soon?
Would you go back to the day that she died?
Would you save her and then hold her tight?
Would you tell her you love her, would you tell her you care? Doctor when, Doctor how, Doctor where?
Doctor which, Doctor how, Doctor what/ Does it take to trust in your heart
And not keep it a secret, not hide it within
But to speak it out plainly to loose or to win
You are safe in your Tardis, safe out of time
You stay but a moment, to dazzle and shine
You break the hearts of those who have one
You have two and should be doubly strong
And yet, you don’t dare say the word
The last chance, to make yourself heard
Will you ever trust love again? Doctor how, Doctor where, Doctor when?
Pray that the world takes pity on you
Hope that Rose will find a way through
She will make it come true
Doctor when, Doctor what, Doctor who

Footnotes in Boxes
The birds dream to sing
The oak dreams of spring
The hound does dream of foxes
I just dream of footnotes packed in little boxes
When I was young I do remember, I dreamt that I could fly
All I had to do for this was run up someplace high
I spread my arms and threw me off a mountain, roof or tree
and glided high upon the wind with all the world to see
My dreams were always vivid, though not always fun
I got run over by a train and got shot by a gun
I went up in flames and broke my limbs five nights a week
But that was better than the things I see now, when I sleep
The birds dream to sing
The oak dreams of spring
The hound does dream of foxes
I just dream of footnotes packed in little boxes
I dream of words I dream of books, they are my tools of trade
Sometimes I use my bare hands, sometimes I use a spade
I dig up all the footnotes and stow them safe away
In boxes, that I label, each night till I awake
Footnotes are no monsters, they don't inspire fear
Still I shiver when the time to go to bed draws near
I hope and pray that in this night I'm blessed with dreamless sleep
But every night I check the footnoteboxes that I keep
The birds dream to sing
The oak dreams of spring
The hound does dream of foxes
I just dream of footnotes packed in little boxes

Home
When I see the trees around me, their age I almost feel
The breeze touches my face, unseen and yet real
The clouds tell me stories, wonders everywhere
And I know there is one dream I don’t share
I do not want to reach the stars, I do not yearn for galaxies unknown
I just want to feel the sun, I just want to feel the rain, I just want to be at home
When I wake up in the morning, on my balcony I go
To greet every plant, to weed and watch them grow
I dig my hands into the soil, caring, feeling glad
And I know there is one dream I never had
I do not want to reach the stars, I do not yearn for galaxies unknown
I just want to feel the sun, I just want to feel the rain, I just want to be at home
There is magic in the autumn, in leaves of red and gold
There is magic in the winter, glistening and cold
There is magic in the springtime, sprouting strong and young
And no dream can ever match the summer sun
I do not want to reach the stars, I do not yearn for galaxies unknown
I just want to feel the sun, I just want to feel the rain, I just want to be at home
